One person is dead after a crash in Polk County

A man was found dead Monday after a single-vehicle crash in Polk County. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10 a.m. Monday for a report of an accident at 6300 Northeast 46th Street. Police officers who arrived at the scene found a white sedan that had overturned in a ditch. There was only an adult male in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies have not released the identity of the man who died. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 10 a.m. Monday for a report of an accident at 6300 Northeast 46th Street. Police officers who arrived at the scene found a white sedan that had overturned into a ditch.

There was only an adult male in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, an initial investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The services did not reveal the identity of the deceased man.
