Man charged with DUI after Pacifica crash that seriously injured a passenger

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after authorities responded to a collision that occurred early Saturday morning in Pacifica.

The collision occurred around 1:25 a.m. in the 500 block of Manor Drive, where a black Chevrolet Camaro struck a parked car, Pacifica police said.

The passenger in the Camaro suffered serious injuries, and the driver, 28-year-old Rodrigo Reyesgarcia of Pacifica, suffered minor injuries. Both were hospitalized, according to Pacifica police.

Police said Pacifica Reyesgarcia was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision, leading to his arrest.

According to Pacifica police, officials closed sections of Manor Drive for about 80 minutes after the collision to investigate and clear the road of debris.

No information about the passenger’s condition was provided on Monday.
