As a result of a vehicle explosion in Ashkelon, one person was killed and several were injured

A vehicle exploded and caught fire in Ashkelon, Israeli media reported, citing Magen David Adom (MDA).

A 20-year-old woman died in the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene by MDA teams. An eight-year-old girl in critical condition was evacuated to the Barzilai Medical Center.

Firefighters and MDA teams responded to the scene, and an initial MDA report indicated that a woman was trapped in the vehicle and several other people were injured.
