The popular YouTuber known as Comicstorian was 40 years old

Ben Potter, the popular YouTube personality known as Comicstorian, died on June 8 in what his wife Nathalie Potter called an “unhappy accident.” He was 40 years old.

Details of his death, including the specific cause and place, were not disclosed in his wife’s affidavit filed on the 10th.

With over 3 million subscribers and nearly 4,000 YouTube videos over the past 10 years, Potter has built a dedicated fanbase as a comic artist through his original comic radio plays. In many YouTube videos, he discussed and analyzed aspects of the Marvel and DC universes.

“For many of you,” writes Nathalie Potter, “he was a comic book artist, presenting stories through many different media. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive people you could ask for.

“As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, and even just a stranger,” he continues, “Ben was loving and sincere. He was a person who could listen and find time for loved ones. He did his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and encouraged his loved ones when they needed it.”

His wife called Potter’s channel “one of his proudest achievements” and vowed that she and the Potter team “want to continue it” to “honor him by continuing to tell great stories by great people, and also to keep the memory of our own superhero alive.” ”

“We supported each other in everything we wanted to do and I have no intention of stopping now,” writes Nathalie Potter.
