According to the police, the two accused, identified as Rahul (23) and Suraj (25), were arrested on Monday following a complaint lodged by the father of two minor girls, who alleged that his two minor daughters were raped, filmed and for over six For months, both men blackmailed him in exchange for money.

Police said an FIR was registered against the two accused based on the father’s complaint.

Giving details, officials said the accused men befriended two girls, aged 13 and 15, raped them, filmed the sexual assault and extorted around Rs 10 lakh from the siblings’ family since January by threatening to spread the videos on social media.

“The accused befriended both girls after contacting them over the phone. They once lured the girls under the pretext of having fun together, but they drugged them and raped both girls. During the incident, the accused also shot obscene videos of both of them. girls,” police said.

“Lakhs of rupees were extorted from the girls as the accused otherwise threatened to spread the videos on social media and threatened to kill the girls,” they said.

The official said the matter came to light when the father found missing money in the house, which the family had kept for emergency needs. He questioned the girls about the missing cash, who then told their father the whole situation and told him that they had given the money to the accused who had been blackmailing them for the last 6 months.

Based on the father’s complaint, an FIR was immediately lodged under IPC sections 376 (rape), 506 (intimidation), 328 (administrating poison to someone with intent to commit an offense) and 384 (extortion), police said: adding that the charges under the provisions of the stringent Act POCSOs were also raised in the case filed on Sunday, following which the accused were detained at T-point Aichhar in Greater Noida on Monday

According to the police, the accused were brought before a local court, which placed them under temporary arrest.
