Police in Oregon are looking for suspects in an attempted theft of a vehicle

The surveillance video shows the suspect’s face before the camera is removed.

OREGON, Ohio — Police in Oregon are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects accused of attempting to steal a vehicle.

In a social media post from the city police department, police said surveillance video captured two suspects approaching a vehicle in the yard of a residence. In the video included in the post, one of the suspects can be seen looking up at the camera before removing it. The camera captured the masked face of one of the suspects before he was placed on the ground.

Police said in the post that the suspects broke the vehicle’s window while trying to get inside, but became scared when the home’s resident turned on the outside light.

Oregon State Police did not release the exact location of the attempted crime.
