The brilliant new MacBook Air M3 just dropped to a staggeringly low price of just $899 on Amazon today after a surprise price cut from the retailer. Originally retailing for $1,099, now’s your chance to save $200 on our current most popular laptop of 2024.

While this particular deal is for the entry-level model with a 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, we still highly recommend this model for those who simply want a slick machine that can handle the basics. For demanding work (or extra space), the 512GB configuration will be a better choice, but for value it can’t match this entry-level model.

For $899 you can still have the incredibly powerful Apple M3 chipset in this device. Even with 8GB of RAM, you’ve got enough power under the hood to keep most apps running silky smooth. You’ll also benefit from excellent battery life and the unique fanless Air design.

As always, MacBook Air is a great choice for creators and professionals, thanks to its excellent range of first-party apps for macOS. However, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, lightweight and high-end machine that should last for a good few years. Overall, you’ll probably get more mileage with the upgraded 512GB SSD/8GB RAM configuration, but this base version is still an excellent laptop that’s well worth it at just $899.
