Highway 16 closed due to truck overturn

EAGLE, Idaho – As of noon Tuesday, all lanes of Highway 16 (Hwy-16) are closed between Deep Canyon Drive and Beacon Light Road in Eagle due to the overturning of a semi-truck north of Beacon Light Road.

The Eagle Fire Department said the highway remains blocked by the wreckage and will reopen once emergency crews clear the crash site of debris.

Emergency services are asking commuters to avoid the area if possible and consider an alternative route.
