YouTuber Ben Potter – AKA, Comicstorian – died suddenly… and it sounds like a freak accident.

Content Creator’s Wife Natalieconfirmed the tragic news on Monday, paying loving tribute to the internet star… who has amassed over 3 million subscribers discussing the Marvel/DC universes and creating comic book radio plays.

Two days ago, on June 8, my husband Ben Potter died in an unfortunate accident.

For many of you, he was a comic book artist, telling stories from many different media. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive people you could ask for.…

Nathalie wrote: “Two days ago, on June 8, my husband Ben Potter died in an unfortunate accident. For many of you, he was a comic book artist, presenting stories through many different media. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive people you could ask for.”

She added: “As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend and even a stranger, Ben was loving and sincere. He was someone who listened and made time for his loved ones. He tried his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and calmed his loved ones whenever they needed it.”

She asked for some time to spend with friends and family, mourn Ben’s loss of privacy, and consider how to move forward.

Nathalie was already thinking about continuing Ben’s legacy on YouTube… especially since it was one of his proudest achievements, having been working on it for over 10 years.



Finally, Nathalie said, “We supported each other in everything we wanted to do and I’m not going to stop now.”

Others online also paid tribute to Ben… Ice Cubeson, O’Shea Jackson Jr.he expressed his disappointment after hearing this news, being a comic book writer Scott Snyder shared his shock, noting Ben’s contagious love for comics and how great he was to be around.



Ben shared his last video titled “Why DC’s Reboots Beat Marvel” just a day before his death. He was 40 years old.
