Houston woman found shot to death at Pinemont gas station

HOUSTONA woman found injured at a gas station told police her boyfriend shot her, Houston police said.

Police and paramedics were called to a gas station in the 6600 block of Pinemont around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, but authorities believe the shooting happened elsewhere.

Police say the woman, in her early 40s, was shot in the side and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Houston police are investigating after responding to a shooting call in Pinemont.

Police said the woman said her boyfriend shot her elsewhere, but she was unable to give a good address. Authorities say there is no evidence of a shooting at the gas station.

The investigation is still in the preliminary stage.
