EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) – Police withdraw the recommendation of a shelter in Eau Claire, but the wanted man has not been found.

Eau Claire Police Chief Matt Roks told the media Tuesday that they were looking for Jerome Jacobs, who was wanted by Madison police. Rokus said Eau Claire police saw Jacobs, but when authorities tried to stop him, he crashed his car and fled. He’s potentially armed.

“After an extensive search of the area, including the residence, Jerome Jacobs was not located. Investigators continue to follow leads,” reads a post on Eau Claire Police Department social media.

According to the Madison Police Department, Jacobs is a suspect in an attempted murder case that occurred Sunday evening in Andrew Way. Two people were injured, authorities said.
