Man from Versailles charged with statutory sodomy

On Monday, a Versailles man was charged with statutory sodomy of a child under the age of 12.

Joshua Allen Haggerman, 42, is being held in the Morgan County Jail without bond. Haggerman appeared in court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty. He has a bond hearing scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, at 9 a.m.

According to a probable cause statement, the child victim told interrogators at Kid’s Harbor in Osage Beach on May 28 that Haggerman suffered a sexual assault while they were at his home on the weekend of April 27. The affidavit states that Haggerman was supposed to be caring for him. two children this weekend.

Court documents show that Haggerman added alcohol to drinks consumed by the youth. The victim allegedly told law enforcement that Haggerman only attacked her while she was there.

Court documents show Haggerman was interviewed by law enforcement on Monday and denied the allegations.
