“Due to weather conditions favoring ozone production, the Air Quality Index is expected to reach the ‘Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups’ level,” the National Weather Service said.

People with lung diseases such as asthma, children, the elderly, and people who are active outdoors (including those who work outdoors) should avoid prolonged or strenuous exercise outdoors.

Air quality is expected to rise again to the “yellow” level on Thursday and to the “green” level on Friday.

More information can be found on the Federal Air Quality Monitor website.
