Las Vegas man charged in the 2010 murder of Winston Salem

According to Winston-Salem police, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Allen Wilson, 58, on May 30, charging Wilson with murder.

Police said at the time that officers responded to Forsyth County Emergency Medical Technicians on Jan. 11, 2010, after a report of a deceased person at a residence on North Jackson Avenue.

Officers then found Dwight Adair Smith, 57, of North Jackson Avenue, dead in the home with wounds to his body, Winston-Salem police said.

Police said Wilson was being held in custody in Las Vegas on unrelated charges. Police said Wilson faces an extradition hearing to Winston-Salem.
