A Sinclairville man has been charged in connection with Saturday’s rollover crash. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded at approximately 3:42 p.m. and were dispatched to a pickup and tractor-trailer crash resulting in injuries on Sinclair Drive Extension. Upon arrival, it was determined that the truck operator, identified as 77-year-old John B. Spitale, failed to yield the right of way to a farm tractor towing a tillage machine and struck the rear of the tractor. Spitale was transported by STAT helicopter to Erie County Medical Center for further treatment. Further investigation revealed that Spitale was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was issued a summons to answer to in Gerry Municipal Court.
