2 people stabbed near Laval metro station; the police are investigating

Police say two people were taken to hospital on Wednesday evening after they were stabbed near the Cartier metro station in Laval.

Police say they received a 911 call around 7:15 p.m., and the victims are believed to be men in their 20s. Laval police spokeswoman St├ęphanie Beshara said their injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene before the officers arrived, she added.

Shortly after 8 p.m., STM reported that no trains were stopping at Cartier Station.

No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
