Ralphs employee attacked after arresting alleged shoplifter in Los Angeles

Police are looking for a group of people responsible for Monday’s attack on a Ralphs employee in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles.

KTLA obtained video footage from a store employee showing the attack at the store at 17840 Ventura Blvd. around 4:45 p.m

The first video shows three suspects, one woman and two men, entering the store and confronting an unidentified store employee standing next to the female employee.

Within seconds, one of the suspects punches a male employee, and the fight briefly disappears from the camera’s view.

The fight comes back into view, showing the victim being attacked by multiple suspects.

The employee who shared the video said that at one point the suspect pushed a shopping cart into the victim.

Another perspective on the incident shows a store employee trying to escape from the suspects after the first punch.

According to the employee who provided the video, the incident began earlier in the day when the same employee stopped a young woman from stealing bags full of merchandise.

The same woman returned with the men seen in the video a few hours later, the employee told KTLA.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the store about the incident, but did not confirm any details.

Police said there was no record of any injuries resulting from the fight.
