Celebrate Father’s Day with our selection of concerts, car shows and other special events taking place from Friday, June 14 to Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Honor the fathers and father figures in your life with a weekend of special events for dads, including live music, exotic car shows, comedy specials, family attractions and more, which will take place in the Greater Houston area.

Father’s Day Weekend Events

  • Taxis and dads at Pappas Bros. Steak House | Thursday Friday – Galleria and Downtown steakhouses will offer a wine tasting exploring carefully curated selections from around the world representing some of the world’s best Cabernet Sauvignon. $150 per person, plus tax and tip. 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers at Minute Maid Park | From Friday to Sunday – Come cheer on their “hometown” Stros as they host the Motor City team for a three-game series. Throughout the weekend, fans who arrive early can score gifts like a Jose Altuve bobblehead, an Astros Hawaiian shirt and a travel tumbler. $29 and up. Hours vary.
  • 25% off at 8th Wonder Brewery & Cannabis | From Friday to Sunday – All weekend, enjoy a 25% reduction on products and derivative products to take away at the EaDo brewery. Stick around and sip delicious craft suds, play games, and see some of Houston’s iconic Beatles sculptures and more in the backyard. From noon to 10 p.m.; Sunday noon to 8 p.m.
  • 10% off Pizza U classes | From Friday to Sunday – Pizaro’s Pizza offers hands-on classes that can help you bake the perfect pie, and for Father’s Day, they’ll give you 10% off classes when you use the promo code PAPA until midnight on Father’s Day.
  • Dads and Dinosaurs Day at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | SATURDAY – Celebrate Father’s Day and National Dinosaur Day by creating a dinosaur art project and Nuts ‘n Bolts keychain at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. There will also be performances by children’s musician Juicebox Jukebox and story times. $9. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Father’s Day Pioneer Firearms Class at George Ranch Historical Park | SATURDAY – Go back to the good old days for a lesson in firearms shooting at this annual Father’s Day celebration, where dads learn to load and shoot replica flint locks and percussion rifles that wind up during the Alamo era. Classes are for dads only, but family members are welcome to watch and explore the rest of the grounds. $16. Classes at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
  • Father’s Day Whiskey Business Pooside Party at Marriott Marquis Houston | SATURDAY – Downtown’s Texas-shaped pool will host a Father’s Day version of the classic film, Risky business. Soak up the ambiance as you sip a Whiskey Business cocktail and treat yourself to a DIY nacho bar with giftable t-shirts throughout the evening. $70 and up. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Coffee, cars and cigars Father’s Day at Riverhouse Houston – East River Restaurant rolls out the red carpet in front of a fleet of classic, luxury and custom-designed cars. You can also enjoy gourmet coffee, mimosas and a special Father’s Day brunch menu for the occasion. East River 9 will also offer custom cigars for purchase. $20. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Father’s Day to the Gardener – Fine-dining restaurant MFAH is offering a three-course Father’s Day menu with choices like crab risotto, strip steak and Heritage chicken breast, plus indulgent desserts to finish. $125 per person. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Rad Dad Pop-Up at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | FREE – Spend Father’s Day afternoon at Heights Brewery where Deckle & Hide will be serving smoked brisket burgers and sausages on a bun, test your courage on the LEGO Lava Walk and laugh in front of Dad Joke Stand Up by Fred Kasper. From noon to 4 p.m.
  • Smoke-Free Car Meet at the Bayou City Event Center | FREE – The last car competition of the season is a free Father’s Day event. Step out to see a spectacular display of exotic cars, bites from food vendors, and witness live performances and freestyle rap battles judged by a panel of celebrities like Killa Kyleon, Slim Thug, Le$, and Lil Keke. From noon to 4 p.m.
  • Rad Dad Market in Axelrad | No coverage – Head to the Neon Garden for a day spent shopping with local vendors for daddy items, baked goods and more. Plus, enjoy promotions on $4 Overholt Ryes, $8 Old Fashioneds and $20 Buckets of Beer. From noon to 8 p.m.
  • Beer and burger for Father’s Day at Wakefield Crowbar – Dads can win a free beer with the purchase of a Wakefield Burger at Garden Oaks Volleyball Bar. Plus, enjoy other drink and food specials on beer towers, wings, and beer buckets. From noon to 10 p.m.

  • Father’s Day Concert at Traders Village | FREE – The whole family will love this day out, with live music, rides, shopping and dining. It’s an opportunity to spend time together, find unique items and have fun as a family. $5 parking fee. 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Father’s Day at Bayou Bend Collection & Gardens – The River Oaks Museum of Decorative Arts is hosting a Father’s Day in the Gardens, with light refreshments, live music and art activities. Free for fathers; $12.50 for adults; $6.25 for ages 13 to 18; free for ages 12 and under. 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Steak and Bordeaux Tasting Experience at Mutiny Wine Room – Celebrate Dad’s special day with Chef Eduardo’s new Ribeye for Two, featuring Hasselback Potato, Charred Tomato and Spring Onion Salad, Mozzarella Burrata and Toasted Sourdough Focaccia at Mutiny Wine Room . Reservations strongly suggested. $75 for two. 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Father’s Day at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – The waterfront attraction is offering dads $5 off an all-day pass when you purchase one. During your stay, enjoy Gulf Coast restaurants, boardwalk games, and scenic water views. 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Dinger Derby for Father’s Day at Home Run Dugout – Dads and their children are invited to participate in a Father’s Day edition of the Home Run Derby at the Katy Cages and Batting Bar, for the top prize for best father-child duo. The winning team will receive a free 90-minute batting experience. Registration costs $10 per pair. 3 p.m.
  • TNT: tribute to AC/DC at Warehouse Live Midtown | FREE – Head to Midtown and get ready to jam out to your favorite AC/DC hits. The Led Zeppelin Experience and Not Journey opens the show. Free with RSVP. 3 p.m.
  • Enjoy your Father’s Day with Dave Lawson at Houston Improv – At the Spring Branch House of Laughter, comedian Dave Lawson will host a special Father’s Day celebration, along with some fellow comedians for a matinee. $60 for 2 and more. 4 p.m.
