Pakistani YouTuber shot dead for making vlogs from IND v PAK matches

Saad Ahmed, a Pakistani YouTuber, was shot dead on Sunday on the day of the India-Pakistan match in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

According to media reports, Saad was killed in a mobile market in Karachi. Saad was shooting videos for his vlogs and was killed by a security guard whom the YouTuber was interviewing in preparation for the India-Pakistan match.

Pakistani media reports indicate that Saad had several interviews before coming across the security guard. The guard was hesitant to talk and record video. But Saad persisted. Finally, the guard lost his cool and shot at the YouTuber.

Saad was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Pakistani media Geo News published a video of Saad’s murder on its YouTube channel. According to one of Saad’s friends, he is currently survived by his mother and wife.

India defeated Pakistan by six runs in the Group A match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 last Sunday in New York.
