A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash near Knox Highway 23 at Knox Road that occurred on Monday.

According to preliminary information from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. when a black 2024 Subaru was traveling east on Knox Highway 23 when the driver left the roadway on the southbound side.

As a result of this accident, an 85-year-old man from Galesburg died. The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
