Woman shot and killed in Gastonia, investigation underway

GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway after a woman was shot and killed in Gastonia, Gastonia police confirmed to Queen City News on Tuesday.

Officers responded to reports of an incident near 1235 Morgan Street around 11:55 p.m. The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead.

The police report shows there was $10,000 in damage to the home.

There is no mention of a suspect at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
