Alleged diary titanium The submarine crew’s last words were reportedly found to be false.

A federal team of investigators “found no evidence” that the five people on board… titanium sub on June 18, 2023 were aware of the impending implosion, in unison New York Times.

The transcript, which began circulating online just days after the submarine went missing in the Atlantic Ocean, included a detailed timeline of the alleged events and conversations leading up to the implosion.

“I’m sure it’s a false record,” said Capt. Jason Neubauer, a retired U.S. Coast Guard member who serves as chairman of the Naval Investigation Board. “It was made up.”

The transcript that circulated on the Internet after Titanium’The disappearance suggested that the submarine’s passengers warned their mothership about alarms that went off inside the ship shortly before the implosion.

However, federal investigators obtained records of actual communications between the submarine and The Polar Princewhich apparently disproves the accuracy of the virus transcript.

“Someone did it well enough to make it look believable,” Neubauer said.

The Coast Guard did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The titanium the submarine would go to the bottom of the ocean to watch Titanic wreck when it lost contact with the Canadian expeditionary ship The Polar Prince the dive lasts approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

Shortly thereafter, the crew began searching for the submarine. It took four days to find the wreck at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

All five people aboard the submarine – OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, billionaire Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, billionaire Hamish Harding and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet – died.

Neubauer said that the investigation into titaniumAccording to the website, the implosion was one of the most complex he had experienced in his decades of work Times.

He added that several factors complicated parts of the investigation, including the involvement of multiple international agencies.
