Man attacked and robbed in Stroud town centre

A man was left with broken ribs, cuts and facial fractures after an attack in Stroud town centre.

Gloucestershire Police said the 54-year-old’s wallet containing almost £200 in cash was also stolen.

It is not known exactly where the incident took place, but the victim was found injured on the floor outside Betfred in the High Street just before noon on Tuesday, May 28.

Police added that after the attack, he required further treatment.
