Shooting in Atlanta: 4 people dead, including the suspect, says the mayor

NEW DELHI: Four people were shot dead, including the alleged suspect, at the food court of Hotel A office complex in downtown Atlanta, Mayor Andre Dickens informed and advised that the building is currently closed.
Four people shot. One of them is the alleged original shooter, who was shot dead. Everyone involved is still alive. AFRD are on site providing assistance along with APD.Avoid this area,” Mayor Andre Dickens said.

Sharing updates of the event on X, formerly known as Twitter, Atlanta police said all four victims were “conscious, alert and breathing” and one of them is believed to be the suspect responsible for the shooting.

“APD, AFRD and other law enforcement personnel remain actively working on the scene. We will notify again when the scene is clear,” Atlanta police added in a series of tweets.
Peachtree Center, located in the heart of Atlanta, is a sprawling complex that includes “1.5 million square feet” of office space across four buildings. It also has a number of amenities, including 50 restaurants, retail stores and three hotels, as described on the official website.
