Barrie police are investigating a “serious” crash on the city’s south end

Ellis Drive closed at Welham Road for on-site investigations; collision of a passenger car with a truck

Members of the Barrie Police Traffic Unit are on the scene of a “serious” crash on Ellis Drive on the south end of town this afternoon.

Police reported that a car and a truck collided on Tuesday around 4 p.m.

Ellis Drive at Welham Road is closed for investigation.

Police say Ellis Drive will be closed until further notice to allow for the investigation to be conducted safely.
