D.C. police are searching for a suspect following a shooting

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and was unconscious and not breathing.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a Tuesday night shooting.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 4000 block of Kansas Avenue, Northwest, around 4:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and was unconscious and not breathing. There is no information about the man’s current condition.

Police are currently looking for a man wearing a black ski mask, a brown hoodie and black jeans, and was last seen riding a black and white scooter.

There is no information about a motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
