SOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) – A woman who allegedly stabbed her 70-year-old father to death in their Queens home claims the man sexually abused her as a child, authorities said.

Peter Cavak’s wife found her daughter on top of her blood-soaked husband in the bedroom of the home on 109th Avenue in South Ozone Park around 7 a.m. on June 5, according to Chief of NYPD Detectives Joseph Kenny.

“My husband was murdered,” the woman told police, Kenny said during a briefing Tuesday.

Ana Cavak, 30, allegedly stabbed her father to death with a rectangular object. She was heard screaming, “He’s trying to kill me,” before her mother burst into the bedroom, according to police.

The suspect had recently filed a complaint alleging that her father sexually abused her when she was a minor, authorities said. The younger Cavak also told police she had a sister who committed suicide due to similar abuse.

“When she was questioned, she made statements that her father was in a cult and that he was abusive,” Kenny said.

The daughter then left the house after the alleged attack and drove to New Jersey, where she was arrested at a rest stop the same day, police said.

The suspect is expected to be extradited to New York City on Wednesday to face murder charges, according to the NYPD.
